It is a fact that the principle of "hands meet face to face" will be an important element of our routine It's evident that there is a growing confidence and a need to be face-to-face with people. Rotary has indeed changed. As we approach the weeks leading to summer 2021, there's still a lot of uncertainty regarding the way we'll provide support to the local community. This is based on the human connections valued by Rotary former members. Even though the "hands facing space" mantra is sure to be a part of the daily routines in our club, there's no doubt that there is a feeling of trust is developing and more people have been able to make connections face-to-face. Rotary is changing too. The Rotary network helps build relationships that last. The outbreak of the pandemic was an impetus for us to adopt the latest technology. The way we conduct our business has been redesigned to maintain online meetings in our workplaces, as well as introducing events for service and social in a face-toface format. The new opportunities we have discovered are combining with the lessons we have learned from previous outbreaks to bring a fresh perspective to Rotary. The Rotary Support Center is equally proud to continue providing important resources to promote the success of these initiatives, as well as maintaining the infrastructure which keeps everyone in the community protected. Insurance and compliance play an important role. We know that Rotary volunteers form lasting relationships through their commitment to each other of time and effort. The imagination and creativity of our members in finding solutions to the toughest challenges is amazing and I am so very thankful that the opportunity to join Rotary was offered to me in 2002.
